I was surprised to see the low star rating for this place. This is where I've gotten Chinese take out since we moved to the area 7 years ago, and they've never been rude to me, they've never gotten an order wrong, my order is always ready within minutes after I arrive (call ahead!), and it is what it is: a Chinese take out place. And for what it is, it's quite good. You can't compare counter service Chinese take out to sit-down, full-service Asian restaurants. But this place satisfies my cravings for the unique food genre that is Chinese takeout (when I was pregnant with my youngest, I sent my husband on regular runs for their egg drop wonton soup). The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the vegetables fresh.

Long time owned by a very friendly family. Food is consistently good. We always split the Sesame Chicken Combination and get an extra egg roll. Their egg rolls are delicious.

They don't go up on their price everytime you visited them, it is always the same price from before, and taste the same. And the restaurant and restroom are clean.

Food is pretty good, sometimes even better than that, but not great if you get my meaning. Customer service is great and prices are pretty on par with other Chinese restaurants of this type. It and one other Chinese restaurant, which are both equal distance from my house, carry most of the same dishes but they each do carry some things the other doesnt. I have been a customer there since they opened and never had a problem.

Got to have my Chinese food, and this is the place to go

This is the best Chinese food between downtown Durham and Brier Creek. Great flavor, good portion size, nice family owned business. Do yourself a favor: try New China.

Best shrimp egg rolls and shrimp fried rice. They also have great service.

Messed up my order one time but the food is great!

Staff is always nice, prices are reasonable, orders are ready when they say they’ll be ready, portions are big, and the food is always good. Glad New China is in our neighborhood!
